Milestones

1951 Mrs. Chiang, Shi Ching-Yi founded Chingshin pre-school and kindergarten.
1953 Mrs. Chiang, Shi Ching-Yi passed away due to illness. General Wei Kuo Chiang, her husband sought to preserve her legacy.
1956 The Board of Directors privately funded and built Chingshin Elementary School.
1957 Board of Directors acquired property on which to build a new campus.
1968 The Middle School building was completed and began recruiting students.
1975 The kindergarten became a subsidiary of the elementary school. The Chingshin campus started to serve students from pre-school through to Grade Nine.
2008 After merging with the middle school and purchasing additional property, the school covered over 16,500 square meters.
2010 The Integrated Teaching Building was opened.

 

Leaders

1951 Mrs. Chiang, Shi Ching Yi founded Chingshin pre-school and Kindergarten.
1952 General Wei Kuo Chiang continued to lead.
1956 Established Elementary School. Ms. Xiu Hua Chiang was the first principal.
1973 Principal Xiu Hua Chiang retired. Mr. Zhen Qian Du became the second principal of Chingshin Elementary School. Mr. Liu Zhang Du took over as the second principal of Middle School.
1996 After the above mentioned two principals retired, Mr. Jing Po Wu took over as the third principal of elementary and Middle Schools.
2001 Mr. Jing Po Wu retired. Ms. Yu Ling Chien took over as the fourth principal of Chingshin elementary and Middle Schools.

 

Timeline

1968 The front building of Elementary School was completed.
1970 The rear building of Elementary School was completed.
1973 Principal Xiu Hua Chiang retired. Mr. Zhen Qian Du became the second principal of Chingshin Elementary School. Mr. Liu Zhang Du took over as the second principal of Middle School.
Chingshin completed the legal procedures for registration as an incorporated foundation.
1982 The Nursery School Building was completed.
1986 The Middle School Building was completed.
1996 Mr. Jin-Pao Wu succeeded Mr. Tu as the principal.
2001 Ms. Yu-Ling Chien succeeded Mr. Wu as the principal.
The 9-year integrated curriculum was implemented.
Documentary filing system was reformed.
Chingshin Orchestra was founded.
The school anniversary with a variety of teaching activities on October 30th of each year was implemented.
The full-day elementary schedules from Monday to Friday began.
2002 The Campus Network System was accomplished.
Scholars from Hong Kong Arts Development Council visited Chingshin.
The library automation system was started.
The morning English teaching broadcasting was started.
The Chingshin Pictorial and Chingshin Bulletin were published.
Scholars from Zhe-Jian visited Chingshin.
The teachers from British visited Chingshin for the observation of integrating information technology into teaching.
2003 Planning and Promotion Center was established.
“The integration of city and country” with Guan-Ying elementary school in NanTou was held.
The charity activity “Song Ai Dauo Hao Shan” was celebrated.
The teachers’ welfare policies and employee travel policy were set up.
The New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held
The employee’s parking lot, badminton court and basketball court were built.
The Traditional Art Fair was at the held Peace Memorial Park in Taipei city.
2004

Chingshin Middle School was awarded five outstanding honor prizes and one excellent prize for the Middle School Affairs Evaluation.

Teachers from Hong Kong visited the Chingshin Kindergarten.

A total of four students from Chingshin Middle School and Elementary School students were delegated to attend the Apparatus Contributory Promotion Activity at Wan Fang Hospital in Taipei.

Chingshin Middle School was evaluated in Physical Education & Sanitation and awarded the prize.

The 2004 New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held.

2005

The Rock Climbing Field was used for the first time.

The Peaceful Angel delegation from China visited the Chingshin School.

The 55th School Anniversary was held and the book of “Reform Chingshin, Set Off Your Dream” was published.

Chingshin Elementary School won the National Silver Prize at the Elementary Science Fair.

The Korean Ulsan Education Delegation from Koreavisited the Chingshin School.

Disabled facilities were improved and their webpage was set up.

The Qingse Garden Education Delegation from Hong Kong visited the Chingshin School.

The 2005 New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held.

2006

Chingshin Elementary & Middle School honor students visited Hong Kong.

The delegation who won the championship at the Elementary Science Fair were invited to meet former President Chen.

Chingshin Elementary School and Nonao Elementary School in Yilan participated in an urban and rural exchange.

The Shandong educational delegation from China visited Chingshin Elementary School.

The Sincere and Wisdom Foundation was established.

Principal Margaret Sargent of Alderman Jacobs Primary School and Principal Jacqueline McNally of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School in the U.K. came to visit Chingshin School.

Installation of the elevator for people with disabilities was completed and used for the first time.

The Chingshin Middle School Choir won a prize for excellence in the southern district of Taipei.

The Chingshin Middle School students attended the Third Taipei City Middle School Internet Exposition and won the first prize for local environment issues program. The research was named “The Treasure of Xian-Ji Yian”.

Chingshin Middle School students attended the Seventh Taipei City Middle School Internet Exposition in 2006 and won the third prize for local environment issues program. The research was named “The Treasure of Xienjiyien”.

The students of Chingshin Middle School attended the Second Taiwan Diplomacy Competition in 2006 and won the gold prize. The research was named “Love of the Universe”.

2007

Started using web phone in every class.

Began a toy bank.

The educational group of Shaihai Jiaping High School visited Chingshin Elementary and Middle School.

The principal leads honor students to visit Singapore.

Middle School students’ research project, “the Treasure of Xian-Ji Rock”, won global gold prize in the competition of website design in the 2007, International Schools Cyberfair.

Middle School students’ research project, “Greenhouse Effects and Climate Change”, won the first place in the creativity competition in Taipei.

Middle School Students’ research project, “Greenhouse Effects and Climate Change, won the global silver prize at the global competition of website design in the 2007 diplomatic and international affairs project.

Middle School students’ research project, “Chun Sin Jhao Chia” (醇心找茶), won the gold prize at the eighth Taiwan Schools Cyberfair in 2007.

The Middle School students’ research project, “The Love of Rainbow – The Musical Notes of Shu Ren Foundation”, won the gold prize in the regional groups category of the eighth Taiwan Schools Cyberfair in 2007.

The Elementary School’s orchestra won first place in both the South Taipei city and Taiwan.

The Fifth New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held.

2008

The Elementary and Middle school’s honor students visit Singapore for an international exchange.

The group of professors from Chiba University, Japan visit Chingshin Elementary and Middle school to observe English teaching.

The Ministry of Education allows Chingshin middle school to combine with Chingshin Elementary School, renaming Taipei Chingshin Elementary and Middle school.

Kowloon Rhenish School’s staff visit Chingshin.

The first public performance of Chingshin’s orchestra plays in National Taiwan Arts Education Center.

The research project, The Comfortable Train Trip – explain the relationship between the ventilation of the Maokong cable car, air convection, and temperature, won the third place in the category of physics at the National Science Fair.

The new construction of school building enters first phase.

The fifty-eighth anniversary celebration of Chingshin Elementary and Middle school.

The teachers and students of Inner Mongolian Elementary School visit Chingshin school.

Chingshin Middle School students won both the second place of the eighth-grade group and the third place of the seventh-grade group in the championship of “Weiqi” (Go chess) (圍棋)in the academic year of 2008.

The Sixth New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held.

2009

The orchestra won the first prize in southern Taipei City, and second prize in the nation.

 “Teaching Instruction” and “Professional Development” were certified as school of excellence for year 2009.

Junior High’s Boys Diabolo group- A won the Championship.

Elementary School’s Girls Diabolo won the Championship.

Elementary School’s Boys Diabolo won the special prize.

Elementary School’s Boys Diabolo group-B won special prize.

Elementary School’s Boys Diabolo A group won the first prize.

Elementary School’s Boys Diabolo B group won the outstanding prize.

Elementary School’s Boys Jump-Rope group A won the second prize.

Elementary School’s Girls Jump-Rope group A won the second prize.

Grade 9 Ai Class student Li Ming-Luen passed  The Basic Competence Test for Junior High School Students  with perfect score of 412 points.

The 2009 New Century School Academic Fair in Chingshin was held.

2010

International exchange-Middle and Elementary school honor students visits Japan.

Education Bureau approved of adding an additional class to Chingshin.

Both Middle and Elementary schools simultaneously passed the Education 111 Certification.

The music teams participated in the National Music Competition: First Prize in the Northern District Orchestra Competition, First Prize in the Northern District String Orchestra Competition, Seven Prize for Symphonic Band.

Middle school students received teachers and students from American Eagle Brooke School.

Hold “benchmarking” study workshop for Reserve Officer Training class Reserve Officer Training class.

Held a workshop for Elementary School reserve principals
“Memorandum of Cooperation for medical safety and health” with Wan Fang Hospital
“99 Taipei Folk Sports Youth Cup” outstanding performance: sixth prize for diabolo Individual contest, fourth prize for diabolo doubles contest, championship for diabolo groups contest.

Fourth Taipei Teenager Literature Prize: Outstanding Prize for Fiction, Outstanding Prize for Prose
Arts and Humanities teaching team won “Premium” Prize in Taipei Teaching Excellence Award.
